 Job Description

  • Role Purpose

Identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. Responsible for developing growth strategies, planning and positioning in the appropriate markets

  • Key Accountabilities

Managing Brands

  • Manages the relationship with the Market / Distributor of the Transmed Own Brands in order to sustain long term business relationship and maximize the support of the brands in the Market
  • Responsible to ensure that Transmed Brands volume/value and growth are achieved by country within category allocated budgets (A&P and Trade Spending)
  • Analyzes brand sales data and market share trends by brand and come up with meaningful conclusions and insights in order to develop the necessary actions and activities
  • Ensure efficient implementation & evaluation of POS Material at point of purchase based on picture of success and merchandising guidelines in alignment with the sales team (Quantities & Timelines) and the effective utilization of POS Material according to trade plans
  • Lead on the execution of country specific promotional process per brand based on regional and local promo SOP (Defining objectives, briefing, coordinating the implementation and Pre/Post evaluation of all promotions)
  • Oversees the forecasting process by brand and by country in order to ensure optimum stock levels, and liaise with the factories to make sure orders are received and being processed and with reach respective markets as per the set lead times

Communication with Sales

  • Responsible to conduct market visits in the country across all channels focusing on POP drivers, shelf life, and competitor activities. Based on shopper observation, recommend actionable in store solutions within the trade channels
  • Ensures the communication of the brand plans and activities to the markets / distributors in a timely manner in order to ensure flawless execution of these plans and activities
  • Define and help maintain the core range distribution and merchandizing guidelines by channel. Analyze and recommend action plans, when needed, on numeric distribution, weighted distribution, core range, planograms
  • Ensure effective new product launches and/or line extensions on a country level through the implementation plan and organizing category roadshows/ presentations for the sales teams
  • Translate Market Brand objectives into country/channel category objectives in coordination with the sales teams while understanding and analyzing the Integrated Commercial Plan Process: Situation Analysis, Creating Winning Channel Activations and Objectives, Strategy, Tactics and Activities
  • Ensures that the markets / distributors are provided with all the necessary brand knowledge, information and other necessary tools in order to help them deliver the desired in market execution

 Job Description

Customer Business Development

o Acquire clear understanding of customer agreement elements, deploy these to the sales team to facilitate execution and monitor compliance on monthly basis.

o Spot business building opportunities at the customer and recommend these to business development team in order to address them and build the business further.

o Tailor the sales business plans to customer needs in order to maximize the volume generated by these plans at the customer.

Joint Business Planning

o Lead a successful Joint Business Planning Negotiation that delivers.

o Develop & implement Joint Business plan with the customer in order to achieve joint sales target, share growth and in-store fundamentals.

o Develop strong account penetration with the Head Office to facilitate collaboration and achievement of business results on the field.

o Ensure tracking of sales fundamentals by field team to ensure achievement of desired sales and fundamentals achievement.

Sales Planning and Design

o Liaise internally with business development team to design the head office events plans in order to generate the needed plans to deliver target results.

o Sell the plans to the customer for the initiative deployment plan/customer event re-enforcing the benefits for all parties and make sure the plan is approved on time.

o Ensure the customer’s SKU database is managed properly by the team.

o Ensure the right volume forecast is set for each event so there will be no out of stock or overstock situations.

Coaching and Training

o “Enable” the sales team through adequate coaching, mentoring and training in order to achieve the desired business results and sustain Transmed’s Organizational Excellence and competitive advantage.

o Create a “winning” and “collaborative” environment among the sales team members in order to help make Transmed a “preferred” place to work for.

o “Energize” the sales team and build the adequate motivation levels in order to achieve the desired sales results.

o Build CBD managerial talent among developmental team members in order to ensure continuity, staff loyalty and succession planning.

Agreement Compliance

o Ensure all elements in our Key Business Driver agreement with the customer are applied in every store.

o Communicate all gaps internally to the team and externally to the customer and set the right corrective action plans on both ends.

o Perform the necessary fieldwork to monitor and track the execution.

o Track the shelf shares across all outlets on a monthly basis

Brand Management

o Track & manage the budgets received from the business development team efficiently and effectively to ensure the highest ROI and zero over spending to achieve targets in line with the joint business plan.

Market Intelligence and Competitive Reporting

o Communicate internally any event taken by customer/competitors which can have an impact on our business in order to take required action.

Qualifications
  • Graduate Degree in Marketing Management and or related field
  • 3 years of experience in FMCG sales
  • A minimum of 2 years managing a team
