Job Description

Research Assistant Grant Jobs in Al Ain, UAE, Research Assistant position with the psychiatry department. We are looking for a suitable candidate to work on a research project focused on evaluating response to treatment in major depression by using genetic tests. The post holder will be based at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University under Dr. Arnone’s supervision.

This position is for an initial 12 months period and may be renewable depending on the progress of the project. The role is varied and will offer learning and research opportunities including:

Facilitate recruitment of suitable participants in Al Ain under supervision. Participate in data collection and storage. Participate in data analysis. Write up data for presentation in the context of conferences and for publication.

Minimum Qualification

Research Assistant Grant Jobs in Al Ain, UAE, Bachelor’s degree, preferably in psychology or neuroscience. Expected Skills/Rank/Experience

It is expected that the applicants will be good communicators in English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of Gulf Arabic is not necessary but would be an advantage. Proficiency with popular software including Microsoft Office, Android OS, and iOS is necessary for this role. We would expect that the successful candidate will have a strong sense of local culture and respect for local customs and sensitivities. There will be a degree of unpredictability in hours and days of work depending on tasks but time can be compensated during the week in case working during the weekend is necessary.
